I LOVE the quality of these books. The pages just feel so nice! the illustrations are fun and my kids like them. This is a nice abridged copy of Wind in the Willows, great for younger kids. Or to hand the younger kids while you read a unabridged copy as the Illustrations in this copy have lots to look at.

We LOVED this book. Santa Claus and the Three Bears was such a sweet ride though nursery tales. The front cover was enchanting with the gold foil used. My five year old loved looking for familiar characters. I spent a great deal of time looking over the maps on the end pages with my 2, 5, and 7 year old boys. A sweet sweet story of friendship.

This gorgeous edition has shortened text, abridged by Lou Peacock, and the sweetest illustrations. I couldn't get over the quality of the book. There's a lovely dust jacket, but underneath is a clothbound, illustrated cover with silver-leaf details. It would be a wonderful gift or permanent addition to a personal library. Highly recommended for those who grew up loving the story and others who are new to it.

This is a cute book. It incorporates several nursery rhyme characters into a cute Christmas story in the style of over the river and through the woods. My 5yo who loves bears was very excited to read this story. He enjoyed the book both the illustrations and the story held his attention and he immediately wanted it read to him a second time. This copy includes a audio book that I thought was well done I always like it when audiobooks add some sounds, its not a audio drama but just enough extra to make it more fun. The audio book is also very nice for the read it again! and again! The audio book includes a sound to turn the page to follow along which my 5yo thought was pretty fun. I found the quality of this book is what stands out to me the most. It has a nice think cover with gold foil accents. The pages are thick with just the right gloss and so nice to feel as you to turn the pages. The inside cover is a map of where the characters go on in the story.
I was received a free copy of this book, my opinions are my own.

Charming vibrant colorful illustrations on every page that capture the whimsy of the story. Abridged (so appropriate for the shorter attention span of younger children), but doesn't feel like it's missing anything. All the stories I remember from the original are there. My children are enjoying discovering this world and the animals that inhabit it, and I am enjoying sharing a story I remember fondly from my own childhood with them.

What an adorable book! I can't wait to read this one to my grandkids this Christmas. This story takes parts of well known fairy tales (and their characters) and mashes them together to help Santa when he falls asleep on the job at the Three Bears house. I also liked the addition of the QR code that links to an audio reading of the book. Such a great idea for busy parents (or those tired of reading the same story over and over!).

I'm not going to lie to you all - the picture of the cover here does NOT do it justice. It is gorgeous and velvety and the foil stamping on the actual book? AMAZING. The over all packaging is just {French chef kiss}. The illustrations are vibrant and colorful. The story is the same one I remember from my childhood and a good read. I would recommend this book to anyone. The publisher and illustrator really hit it out of the park with this edition. Five out of five stars. I can't wait to show it off to others.

A whimsically illustrated version of the classic Wind in the Willows story. This abridged version is short enough for younger readers but captures all the key scenes of the original. A beautifully made book.

This book reminded me of "Dude!" by Aaron Reynolds. A book of few words--and the same words at that--but it is PERFECT for "talking" and ECRTR. Nuts! forces the reader to ask the audience what is going on?

(It's basically about two squirrels who won't share nuts.)

I didn't love it. But it has potential in the right audience.

Good reminders (to parents) that bigger isn't the same as completely competent.
