Henry Plotkin

I was not overly impressed by this book. My notes at the time were: Another attempt to make Psychology into a "real" science.

loved this- a long, long arch of theory joining together sciences, anthropology/ethology and ultimately humanities. a tall order but a fantastically elegant leap through these assembled hoops. I've been reading it alongside some books about consciousness and it introduces a lot of the ideas those consciousness books raise, to the world of culture where they'll mean something.
