A bit heavy going for me I had trouble following the 'thread' and understanding were we goingon this journey. Perhaps, it was lost in translation!
A "cinephilosophical journey". This amazing book proposes to help us comprehend through films, the work of two philosophers: René Descartes and Baruch (or Benedict) Spinoza. With some help of various known films Ollivier is capable of making philosophy easy and involving, which in return makes these films more likable then ever. Not only that, the experience of going to the movies takes a whole new meaning here. For everyone who thinks that philosophy and films are not a world apart this book is for you.… (mehr)
