I haven't read this ful biography, I was concentrating on the stories in the Myth Time section. But I am very impressed with the way the stories have a strong sense of voice, and that the Kakala alphabet is used for names throughout. Agnes Alfred spoke, her granddaughter translated, and Reid edited the stories - but even through this chain the sense of humour and rhythm is still present.
