Evil forces encircle Aaron Field's farm, but at first he's not aware of them. However, he knows he's going to lose the farm to his stepmother. Will Reid and Felicity Anderson were friends since since senior school, but Will's career dragged him away from her. He broke her heart, though they remained friends. Now he has the opportunity to star in the play she wrote, with her as director at the Adelphi theatre. Felicity, or Flick as Will calls her, still has feelings for Will but she vows not to fall into the same trap as before. But she is stressed. She has too much to do and problems keep cropping up. One of the actresses isn't focusing on her part and the building has cracks in it. In addition, the manager of the theater is on her honeymoon and not coming back until spring. With all that on her shoulders, Flick is not the same woman Will once knew. He realizes he needs to win her trust, but can he keep his promise to put her first?
