I actually rather liked The Roof of the World; even though the good bits are all stolen from other Doctor Who stories (apart from the nods to Lovecraft) I liked the development of Erimem's character, and Davison and Bryant got good chances to do their stuff; plus the setting was on the whole very well depicted given the audio environment. I was rather astonished to find out the back-story of the author after I did a little googling...

I love this series of books. They are quite light-weight, 150 pages with many pictures but, they are what they say; a celebration of... There are too many books keen to decry a star, particularly if they happen to be dead and unable to defend their reputations. We all know that Sellers wasn't a universally altruistic person, but it was his humour that introduced him to us and, unless one is related, does one need to dwell upon his relationship to his family?
This book contains reminiscences from people who worked with Sellers and, as per usual with this series, I learned things that the more weighty biographies had failed to mention.
A thoroughly enjoyable read.

The book was notorious for falling apart (I took mine back to the shop twice before getting a barely adequate copy, and the shop staff said it was happening to everyone), the text has multiple factual errors, the layout and colour scheme make it difficult to read much of the text, and the many never-before-seen photos were previously unpublished for good reason. Get the Nazarro/Wells book instead.
