Honestly had trouble putting this one down. Great story and visually really striking and immersive. It's pretty ballsy of the publisher to compare it to the Sandman and Preacher series, as it has the soul and wit of neither, but it brings its own guns to the party.

3.5 stars in truth. I've been a fan of the Doc for more than 30 years, so the revamped origin story wasn't exactly targeted for me.

That said, the fresh tinkerings to the details while keeping much of the origin story the same worked for me. The art, at times, was muddled and didn't further the story as I might have liked, but it grows on me with rereadings.

I wasn't impressed. Writing was OK, but the art work sucked.

A weird little graphic novel about a future in which three persons are considering a controversial body transplant procedure in the hope that it will fix their lives. I picked it up on a whim at my usual comic store because I know Emma Rios from the Pretty Deadly series. I found the story really interesting. I also liked the essay at the end by a medical doctor who explains the actual chances of such a procedure becoming viable.
