Blythe Roberson

This trip memoir is an honest blend of humor mixed with deep thoughts, and I kind of loved it all. The author visits a lot of national parks spending time at each completing a Junior Ranger booklet to get a Junior Ranger badge, and her conversations with various rangers are gold. She has some great insights throughout her travels, and her writing voice was wonderful; I really enjoyed sharing in her journey. She didn't even get as far as she originally wanted, so I'd read another book by her about even more parks if she wanted to write it.… (mehr)

Written by a writer of The Onion and a comedian, this book is very much click bait. There is no real hating men or disliking them in the book. She has spreadsheets and statistics and crazy other details as well as obsessions with men galore.

If you're getting this for the title, for dating, or for anything, it won't be what you want. If you're like me, and get it to roll around reading something on a slow day, it's okay. I wouldn't call it a book or anything useful, it's more all about the writer and her perspectives and that's it, nothing more. If she interests you, then this is for you.… (mehr)
