He writes with wit and humor about life in North Carolina: from stomping on grapes to make Scuppernog wine in Duplin, to the endless war between barbeque cultures, or just tellin' some good old NC folk stories. A good read for a summer afternoon under a good tree on the creek, with a bamboo fishin' pole lying on one side of you, and a good ole dawg lying next to you on the other side.
