This can be read as a standalone but it is the second part to this MC. Hugo had promised a friend of his that he would infiltrate a Mc (friend is from first book) and get the president behind bars. While he infiltrates he meet Alice who is this other MC's daughter and his focused has changed and as the title states he likes sex and rough and ready and him and Alice meet and guess what jump in the sack, happened with the first book to so I am not really surprised and it is just a book to pass the time nothing earth shattering but did keep me entertained.

I’m really enjoying this series, secret confessions of a number of rich women in Sydney, Australia (not just housewives, but a range of ages too). After the scorching Lana, I should have known that this series is up for anything! Still, I was surprised and intrigued by Nella’s story. Nella sounds like a more mature woman to me (her stepdaughter Sienna is the subject of the next story) and she has a happy marriage with husband Michael. She’s in control of everything she does but I wasn’t really expecting her to be control so much in her sex life. You see, Nella’s discovered the best way to ease the stressors of Michael’s job is to indulge in some BDSM. This is no Fifty Shades styler either as Nella’s in complete dominance here over one of Australia’s leading CEOs.

Nella’s control shines through at every moment of her encounter with Michael – from eating off his back (he’s in big trouble if he spills a drop) to extracting a donation to charity from Michael at a crucial part of the role playing. I haven’t read a book about a female dominatrix before, so this was an eye opener. Cathleen Ross handles this situation with aplomb – the whole story is constructed tastefully but is still so scorching that I suggest you don’t read it during a total fire ban!

I loved how Nella was an older woman – her confidence shone through and she was always in control. I think this made the narrative more believable in a way for me – with age, comes wisdom (and power)! That Michael and Nella had been a strong marriage for a long time also made the BDSM scenes more comfortable for me.

I can’t wait to see what Sienna gets up to in the next story!

This is most certainly an erotic novella containing graphic and detailed sexual scenarios.

After the 2012 apocalypse - males were in short supply. Perhaps because males were beheaded after they had sex with the Philadean women, as per the rules.

We meet Samia a princess of her people, and one who looks human, rather than the scaled countenance of the majority of her people. She is fated to mate with Jake, an Alpha human and general commander of forces on the earth, and blessed with mind probing abilities and arrogant self-confidence, backed up by an amazing body and larger than average manhood.

Samia is torn between curiosity about her human side and the feelings that Jake has aroused and her duty to perform and produce for the Empress when her wishes collide in the form of an invasion. From this point the story twists and turns very much into a romantic and sexy story: where Samia realizes that her human side is very much a creature of emotion that thrives on kindness and adoration.

Steamy is the only way to describe the sex, liberally and painstakingly detailed throughout the novella. The scenes, even the tender scenes are detailed with such delicacy that you can almost feel what the characters are experiencing, and there are scenes that I am, quite frankly, going to share and incorporate into my own life.

A perfect story to set a scene and make a mood conducive to your own torrid evening of love.
