I have read all of Savannah Rylan's MC series books and I've never been disappointed the way I was with Twisted Hearts. It's the 3rd book in the Twisted Intentions series. It's a reverse harem suspense crime thriller. I had a few problems with it like if they all wear cuts and ride motorcycles why are they a crew instead of an MC?
This book is about Lance the Shadow Boys crew's President, Blade the crew's VP, and Pike. The 3 of them have gone through heartache before and never thought they would find another woman to fit them the way the last one did. When they lost her it broke their hearts. Whlie their town is being attacked by an unknown force Dalia the bartender at The Mule gets caught up in it. She's instantly attracted to the guys when they come into her bar and wants to get to know them. It's hard for her because of the hard life she has lived with a mom that abandoned her to being put in a horrific foster home until she ran away. The guys get her back to their clubhouse and plan to hold her there until the threat is minimized. But they still can't figure out who it is. The love between them grows almost instantly for Dalia. She just chooses not to realize it until the clubhouse is attacked by somebody from her past. By the end of the book, someone almost dies, Dalia has a lot of trauma to work through and the guys are there and ready to try love again.
I gave this book a 2-star rating and a 3-spicy rating. When I think reverse harem I think it's going to be really spicy but that isn't the case with this book. Sure some fooling around gets done but the climax doesn't come until the very end of the book which was a letdown. And I couldn't connect with the story or the characters. There was really only growth with the characters when having to deal with their pasts but we still didn't get to really know them. I'm not sure if I"ll be reading the next one when it comes out or if I do not until I hear some good reviews on it.

Savannah Rylan has brought us her new series Twisted Intentions with the first book being Twisted Metal. I've read just about all of Savannah's books and I have to say this one was different for me. It was MC, Mafia tie-ins, violence, kidnapping, drama, reverse-harem and lots of twists and turns. It was a long read with a slow burn romance.
This book starts us off with Naomi who is a nurse and engaged to a police officer. They are high school sweethearts but Naomi has found herself questioning her life with him. She realizes she's spent their whole relationship serving him and his wants and needs, not getting anything back for herself in return. Her sick father ends up in a situation and Naomi trades herself for her father. She's taken by Ranger, Dutch, and Trooper. That's when things get interesting in her life and thanks to the guys she finds out all of the lies she's been surrounded by and never realized. Especially the truth about her relationship.
After seeing the guys aren't really all that bad even after the things they have threatened her with she takes a liking to them. And they take an instant liking to her, especially teasing her. Now they have dark sides to them but they are good at hiding them until the time is right. While Naomi is with them they straighten out what her father messed up and also help her with the problems in her life.
I had to give this book 3.5 stars. I couldn't really connect with any of the characters although the plot was good. For something as spicy as a reverse-harem I didn't like the slow build-up with all the teasing and leading up but no follow through until once at the very end. And with there only being once scene with them all it wasn't as explicit as I would have expected or liked. Although I can see why others would enjoy this book, it wasn't really for me.… (mehr)
