Sometimes a souvenir photo book just brings about a silly grin as you remember the immense beauty of the place. This is exactly such a book, and the Oberland region will bring about that peaceful smile. Not much to say about the book itself other than it has a two-page map, excellent photos of the various towns, in six languages. I hit the proverbial holiday jackpot when the one full day I was in the area, it was a glorious clear blue sky such that standing at Piz Gloria on the Schilthorn, I saw clearly to Mont Blanc! The photos of this book are quite an inspiration; I can’t wait to return, cuddling with a loved one, and listen to the cow bells ring through the valleys and mountain sides.… (mehr)
