I went back and re-read some of the essays a couple of years ago during the anniversary of the hearings. They are still interesting, In particular, Orlando Patterson (who tried to use a cultural defense for Thomas) and was widely condemned for not understanding sexual harassment and Hill's own statement to the Judiciary Committee.
