John Scurr

This Osprey title focuses on the Spanish Foreign Legion, particularly its service in Morocco and the Spanish Civil War.

Because it is narrowly focused on this highly decorated unit, and its limited life from 1920-1976, Scurr is able to do his topic justice. He is able to share some of the tradition of the Spanish Foreign Legion as well as providing an outline of its history and its ties to General Franco.
