My father is learning Polish. He read this book and thought I might enjoy it, so he lent it to me. It's a graphic novel style book of three Polish legends, with text printed in both Polish and English, which would make it a fun learning tool for someone who speaks one of those languages and is learning the other. As just a straight read though, it's lacking. The illustrations are pretty generic. The text itself is awkward and slow, due to either translation issues, the choppiness of the graphic novel format, or perhaps just poor writing, I honestly wasn't sure which. As a language learning tool, or even a mythology lesson for children, I'm sure this is a fun book. It was not something that held my interest though. It was a very short read at least, and I did learn the basic story behind a few Polish legends.… (mehr)
