{My thoughts} – Alice is a teenage girl that seems to have her thought perception of life a tad skewed due to the impact her parents life choices had on her own life.

Alice’s parents took part in eco-terrorist protests trying to improve the township in which they lived. One night they were on the way to a protest when they crashed and inevitably didn’t survive. After that Alice’s sister became her main care provider and was forced to grow up faster then normal and get a job so that she could attempt to give Alice a chance at a better life.

Alice decides that she wants to follow in her parents footsteps. She does this by carrying out small under the radar protests around school and the township. Eventually she learns she can’t do it alone and she inquires the help of her three of her classmates Whitney, Kingston and Chess. They seem to have been doing their own eco-terrorist protests and she’d finally learned that they were her ticket to getting her point across to the township and those living within it.

While Alice is helping them she learns so many things that are difficult to process. What is it that she and her new friends do to help the town understand that things need to be changed? What is it about her new friends that makes her protests so much more worth doing? How does she and her new friends get along? How does her sister feel about everything that has been going on with Alice? Do Alice and her friends prove to the township and the people that things need to be changed?

I suppose to find out you’ll need to read the book. I recommend this books for those that enjoy retellings of classic stories. It isn’t clear at the beginning which character is suppose to be who in the Alice story, but once you read for awhile it begins to make a lot more sense to the reader. I personally have not read the original Alice story but I have seen the movies and read many different retellings of it. I may need to read the original after reading this book though!… (mehr)

What I liked about most about this book is that the author made it feel real, and how difficult it is for N/A to fit in with adult life, that the friends you think are friends are not actually your friends!!! And when everything all around the N/A falls apart they will need to try to survive, and grow up, and that every action they take, or decision they make has consequences!

This is not an easy love story were the girl meets the boy and the boy loves the girl and they live happily ever after, this is where the girl falls in love, and the boy keeps on breaking her heart every time after a great sexapade, this is about a girl that needs to find her inner strength to survive her heartbreak, her losses and find out who she really is.

Her boyfriend just broke up with her of 3 years who she was very faithful to and her new mantra ƒ??This year I was determined not to miss out. On anythingƒ?, in this book she took a lot of things to the extreme like underage drinking, which caused a lot of problems for herself and Corey later on in this book
She met Corey through Bianca, the attraction between Mac and Corey was instant but, Corey Taftƒ??s had a crush on Bianca which did not make this an easy relationship between them, Macƒ??s so called best friend, and Corey did not want to let Mac to tell Bianca about their secret sexapades.

Mac ƒ??I donƒ??t want a one-night stand.ƒ? My words contradicted my actions

Corey head nuzzling in my neck. ƒ??Who says this is only for one night?ƒ? The hot air against my ear sent chills down my spine.
ƒ??Oh God. Iƒ??mƒ??ƒ?
He flipped me over again.
I let out a groan of frustration. Iƒ??d have to start all over, building right back up. ƒ??What is this, ADHD sex?ƒ?
He laughed. ƒ??Just trying to figure out what will make you scream. Those wimpy moans werenƒ??t cutting it.ƒ?
After a night of wild sex, this is what Corey ask Mac not to tell Bianca the next morning ƒ??Letƒ??s keep what happened between us for now, okay?
A new text popped up, a clear after thought: ƒ??Canƒ??t wait to see you again, babeƒ? (And I was like WTF, I do hope you will not see this guy again)

One night Mac could not keep the secret anymore from Bianca and blurted everything while drinking about her and Corey to Bianca, and this is her so called best friend reaction afterwards:

ƒ??Who!ƒ? Bianca said to Corey. ƒ??You mean, who did you do!ƒ?
His eyes flashed to me, smile waning. I downed the shot without waiting for the others. Mac voice came out scratchy. ƒ??Um, can I talk to you for a sec?ƒ?
ƒ??No. Heƒ??s talking to me.ƒ? Bianca clasped his fingers
Corey to Mac - ƒ??So. You burst.ƒ?
He liked me, he had feelings for me, but he didnƒ??t want to be with me. He wasnƒ??t ready for a commitment. It was the opposite of Ryan, who strung our relationship out until it was good to the last drop. Instead, Corey prematurely evacuated before we could even form one.

OH Before I forget the sex was HOT!
