Stuttery vibe I wanted my book to have. Like the pacing, the gaps between scenes. Sometimes things can be unbelievable

This book has some wonderful prose. I really enjoyed it, despite flaws that other reviewers have mentioned. I can recommend it based on the language alone. Warning! This book contains graphic content and language, and is definitely NOT for children.

Nup, didn't get it. Maybe I'll try again one day, but I think I'll read something else by Tom Spanbauer and see if I can relate more to that.
