In this 2001 Swarthmore lecture, Tony Stoller explores the inter-related world of business and public affairs and asks why, in comparison to our engagment with environmental issues, or social reform, the seems not the same enthusiasm and rigour to pursue questionable moral and ethical practices within these organizations. Like the resolute Angel blocking a fearful Jacob intent on fleeing an unwelcome encounter, Stoller believes we too can confront our fears by placing our trust in the guidance of our own Angel to lead us to the path upon which to broaden the scope of our Quaker witness and a realisation that such concern is a proper and appropriate obligation for our society.
