I don't quilt. I _don't_ need another craft. But I have a quilt that I use that's wearing out, and the methods and attitude in this book are very appealing - you're not trying to make a work of art, don't worry if it's not perfect, just put it together and it will look great. I may yet end up quilting. The one thing that's missing is finishing instructions - she gives detailed instructions for cutting the cloth and piecing the top, general instructions for putting on the borders, vague mention of cutting the back (actually, in several places, she suggests using leftover pieced blocks as part of the back, though not how to do so), and three bare lines per pattern of doing the finishing. "Pin top, batting, and bottom together; baste them; quilt as desired". I'd have to find another book with a lot more info on that part.… (mehr)
