Goodbye, Again: Essays, Reflections, and Illustrations von Jonny Sun
Good writing, but a little too neurotic to be relatable. If you have anxiety and are also embracing the utility of dysfunction over working toward healing, you may like this. Lots of false self-narrative that is recognized as bunk even by the author, but retained b/c it serves his end rather than learning a new and healthy modality. That sounds WAY more judgmental than intended -- I have no judgment; I just can't relate. I speed-read because I was not interested enough in wading through the wallows of his experience to push through in any other manner.… (mehr)
Both Lin-Manuel and Jonny's twitter feeds are delights, and these pep talks are always excellent ways to remind yourself that things will pass, and you matter. Could easily dole them out one day at a time, but as I mentioned in an update, I am greedy for affirmation as I tend to fall into depressive cycles.
My only complaint is that I want more
