The Grapes of Math is a book that helps students better understand math problems. It helps them learn how to use problem solving skills, and can help students with test taking skills. It gives students a different way of looking at math problems! This would be a great book to read at the beginning of the year!

Clear and simple riddles force you to reconsider how you approach a visual counting conundrum. Everything is already arranged into precise columns during math drills in public schools, but this book will show you, groups of objects, in a more haphazard arrangement, just like in real life. Even though I excelled in math, I always had trouble, and the book's lesson or teaching component is its last set of answers. I picked up some pretty useful math application tactics, but more significantly, I discovered that there are other perspectives and methods for solving issues that we "don't have time" to learn in school.

A cute book to read! This is a book that promotes number groupings to help with fast addition. It demonstrates an alternative perspective on a collection of items, such as snails, grapes, fish, etc. It encourages the improvement of the mathematical method and the development of a mathematical way of thinking. A good book to have in a math class.

The book has a collection of questions that ask the reader to find the amount of something. The book gives hints on how to find the answer with more than just counting. I like this book because it encourages students to look for math solutions in multiple ways by looking at pattern, symmetry, and familiar number combinations.

The Grapes of Math is a super cute math book to have in your classroom. Throughout the book there are math riddles which makes reading the book fun. Students can associate what they learn from this book to also have fun doing math in the classroom. I think this book would be good as a read aloud. I would like to have this book in my library whether it be a math or ELAR classroom.

The Grapes of Math is a great book to have in the classroom because it provides ways to solve mathematical problems. this is good in the classroom because students can have trouble figuring out what way they need to solve the problems. However, with this book students can see the process of how to solve problems so that they open their eyes to future problem solving techniques.

This book uses famous paintings from very famous artists and constructs a math problem from the painting. This book ties together art and math. Each problem is written in a poem. This book could be a fun entry or exit ticket in the classroom to get students' brains thinking but nothing too challenging. This book focuses on grouping, which could be used when learning division.

The Grapes of Math is only one of several math books in a series that aims to help five- to ten-year-old students with their computational and problem-solving skills. The author, Greg Tang, lives in Massachusetts and has successfully taught his method of calculating and understanding math concepts by using grouping patterns and visual techniques that allow the students to comprehend math skills through prediction and practice. Realizing through tutoring in his children’s school classroom the pitfalls of the old ways of teaching math, he developed concepts that showed how to interpret numbers in a different way that unlocked the key for some students. He uses everyday objects to show that math is everywhere in our lives. As a great way to introduce certain math subjects and topics covered in the book, he includes lessons on symmetry, patterns, and number combinations. Tang is a pioneer in his thinking, yet never gave up on reinventing how math is solved.

Grapes of Wrath is a collection of riddles to challenge your student's math capabilities. The target audience will probably be around 7 to 10 years olds. There are no notable characters due to it being a riddle book. Personally, I see this as a fun interactive book to challenge your kids and a great read-out loud.

This would be a fun book for a read aloud in a math class. It may be a little young for middle school, but students will enjoy the riddles, rhyming, and problem solving ideas in the book. This book is creatively illustrated and would be a great book to read as the opener for a number talk discussion as it shows alternative ways of counting and adding by grouping. It gets students to think outside the box.

The author of this book uses poetry to introduce art and with that, certain influential artists and their pieces of work. With each new page comes a new artist and a new set of numbers to find with the images on the page. This book is interesting because it exposes students to older styles of art and makes it a fun challenge to find the sequesce of numbers and pictures on the page.
