This is both an atlas and a picture-history of the Holy Land and its environs that includes many photographs of actual places mentioned in the Bible.

The book gives a brief overview of the geography and history of the lands which the people of the bible occupied. Both old and new testaments are covered, in separate sections. It's well-illustrated, and although written with the upper grade school child in mind, makes a nice reference for adults too.
