On the positive side, there are plenty of recipes in here - even one for a simple cinnamon ice cream, which I really need to try now since I'm such a cinnamon addict. Some of them I hadn't heard of, such as the Tartufo Italian ice cream. I'm probably really missing out from the description of all that - mixture of hazlenut, strawberries and chocolate? Count me in!

On the negative side, the book doesn't give any other details, such as ways to spruce it up, troubleshooting, notes on machines, anything. The writing style is extremely simple and abbreviated - I understand this isn't supposed to be literature, but it does come across as awkward sometimes, especially with the Pumpkin Ice Cream (and I typed this exactly as it appears):

"Pumpkin ice cream is very original recipe for the holidays. It is easy to make, smells and tastes divine and looks very well too."

On the 'mention-but-not-really-plus-or-negative-side', most of the recipes are a simple base recipe with small derivations. Some branch out into further complexities and really, I dont mind having a master base as a lot of cooking does. I don't think the 'Fastest Ice Cream Ever' would really work well.

Overall some good recipes in here. Makes me crave more homemade ice cream. Just wish it wasn't so expensive to make. I'm so cheap.… (mehr)

Colorful cookbook all about lasagna made with fresh items. No nutritional information but calories are included.
Really like the use of herbs, spices and olive oil and we can substitute our lean hamburger and low fat cheeses so most of these recipes can be useful to those on low fat diets.
Lasagna Neptune would be my choice to try. Like the directions because they include all the ingredients on how to prepare them and layer them, etc in easy to follow step by step instructions.
Oh wow, chocolate lasagna for dessert. sounds very rich!
