Stardust: Being A Romance Within the Realms of Faerie von Neil Gaiman

Aufmerksam auf diese Geschichte wurde ich durch den Film „Der Sternwanderer“ - eine wunderschön verfilmte Fantasygeschichte. Hier habe ich also - was selten vorkommt - die Geschichte zuerst verfilmt gesehen, aber ich glaube, dass ich auch umgekehrt begeistert gewesen wäre.

Ich habe mir dann also die von Charles Vess illustrierte Version geholt, und mich gefreut, dass die Filmbilder mit den gezeichneten in Einklang zu bringen waren. Die Geschichte selbst hat deutlich mehr Ecken und Kanten als der im Vergleich kindertaugliche Film, was aber nicht hinderlich war.

In der Geschichte selbst geht es um einen gefallen Stern, den der Held sucht um ihn ursprünglich als Liebesbeweis nach Hause zu bringen, aber wenn man lange Strecken im Feenreich gemeinsam reist, kann so einiges passieren ;)… (mehr)
