Rezensionen

Story about a nurse (Tina White) looking after an amnesiac patient (Tom Flynt) who was brought into the hospital after a car accident, following a shooting. The police are suspicious of Tom, thinking he may be faking his amnesia and that he participated in the shooting that killed a couple at a ball because he was seen there, running out with a gun. But Tina, after getting close to Tom, knows he can’t be guilty. She helps Tom out when he leaves the hospital, and tries to help him get his memory back. Will Tom ever remember who he was?

This was such a lovely and sweet read with an extremely likable main couple. Tina was such a good, warm-hearted heroine. I liked how she believed in Tom and had faith in him. Tom was a pretty classy hero. He was very attracted to Tina but was afraid to get too close, until he found out exactly who he was. There was some Thanksgiving in the story towards the second half of the book.

A pleasant and highly enjoyable read by Margaret Watson.

A solid 4.5 stars.

I was immediately pulled into the story wondering how these two people who couldn't possibly get together would get together. The story was well-constructed, the characters carefully drawn. I really enjoyed the book... until the end. Even then, I liked it, but the ending did seem rushed (which is where the 1/2 star deduction comes in). A great story, well written which I would recommend.

Once and Always by Margaret Watson
Blackhawk Security #6

Another great addition to the series! Plenty of chemistry, a bodyguard and someone in need of being guarded, and a stalker to catch were a great combination in this story.

What I liked:
* Zoe Payton Melbourne: owns her own business, wealthy, has a stalker that is escalating
* Spencer Flynn: retired Navy SEAL, works for Blackhawk Security, bodyguard for Zoe,
* Mel: Zoe’s sister and owner of Blackhawk Security (still want to read her book!)
* That the bad guy-stalker was not all bad though definitely delusional and rather obsessed
* That the killing of Zoe and Mel’s father did not keep them from doing well as adults
* The setting – Seattle
* Zoe’s strength, intelligence, and commitment to her work and women working in her field
* Hearing the backstory of both lead characters
* That Zoe had enough money to pay for a bodyguard though she might not have needed to since Spence works for Zoe’s sister
* That the stalker was dealt
* How the story ended
* Wondering who will have their story told next
* All of it really except

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Thinking about how poorly mental health issues are often handled

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Definitely

Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
