The overuse of too flowery language for such a serious topic really lets this book down.
Issued three years before decimalisation in 1971, this book identifies the rarities and the values at that time of all types of British coins: farthing, halfpenny, penny, half-crowns, etc. Decimalisation took away the pleasure of hunting down old coins but now different 50p pieces reawaken the lure of the chase.
