This was okay, not sure if I'll pick up this author as quickly as I did this time again, but it was a good book to keep me distracted as my husband was watching a movie in bed.

So I gave this four stars because for the most part I enjoyed the story. There were parts that didn't flow as well as I could have but overall it flowed nicely. I think they should have described the genus building a little bit better. Because it just didn't make any sense. The whole trip didn't make any sense whatsoever. And that's where we lose this one star. Also it felt like the book was being dictated. Not narrated. Overall good book. Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes of course. Hi Janelle.

I like the idea of the story. But this book seriously disappointed me. Jean's character took a massive nosedive. Like seriously she crashed into the ground with no fodder to catch her. I am disappointed in Xander's character. He is absolutely ridiculous. If you love someone you're not going to allow them to be tortured but he proved that he does not love her. I think that he imprinted on her but has been fighting it and therefore the connection couldn't be made. That's my theory. As for all the shit that they're assuming, come on? Meaning the Wolfpack. Does it really have to go on this long. It's starting to get on my nerves. I'm not sure what other people are seeing that are giving them higher ratings but other than the fact that it was written well, meaning the grammar seem to be almost on spot, the rest of it was just gangly. It seemed like the book was being dictated. Not narrated. And they didn't connect properly. I'm trying really hard to see the connections. Every time that something seemed to be going with a flow it would suddenly break and it be something else. So this book was a disappointment. Because I am invested into the series, I will read the third book, but I'm not holding my breath. And wtf. Lacey's superpower is mating? Lol. Because Xander makes four. Are we going to get another one? Good Lord who's next, Vaughan?!?!

Omg. If I read the words "shifter town" one more time, I'm going to throw my tablet against the wall.

And the word "monster"...

So far, from what I have read, this book is very juvenile and that doesn't sit well with the sexual scenes... Those are very blunt with zero build up.

I didn't like this book.

Okay reverse harem story

The book wasn't bad, but it was almost more of a fanfiction. The shifter aspect was cool, but some parts seemed a bit too ridiculous. I also thought there would be more smut for sure. 3 super hot werewolf guys and only 1 scene? Maybe the next book will have more. I did like that Emma was resilient and the guys really loved her and would do anything for her. I would have liked more about the shifter world, but it is the first book.
