Working my way through this collection of horror themed poems proved one thing - horror poetry is not my thing.

I’m sure they are deep, multi-faceted, and spiritual pieces (as I saw one review declare), but I just glazed over and didn’t get it at all.

However I did enjoy the short introductory essays that started each section and acted as a sort of field guide to the history and cultural impact of various things that go bump in the night.
