Janes S. Woolsey

Memoir of Civil War Nurse Jane Woolsey, Superintendent of Nurses at Union Hospital in Alexandria Virginia. This memoir was first published in 1868. The last chapter is a collection of letters sent to the author from former patients who had recovered and been sent back to the field, from nurses who had been transferred to other militarey hospitals, and from the family and friends of former patients hoping Woolsey can give them news about their loved one.
