I enjoy reading stories of real people's lives and have always enjoyed historical fiction.

I am the author of Twenty-Eight Snow Angels: A Widow's Story of Love, Loss and Renewal and the co-author of Miriam Daughter of Finnish Immigrants. In 2015 I took the leap from memoir to historical fiction. My award-winning WWII Courageous Footstep trilogy reveals the hardships and challenges a Japanese-American family is forced to endure when they are imprisoned in an internment camp in California weeks after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The trilogy is an informative and engaging read for teens and adults. Would also be an excellent addition to high school libraries and classrooms.
