As part of our mission of providing support to mom's we offer a lending library of birth related books, dvds and cds. Materials are available to be checked out to individuals who are subscribers to our chapter or have regularly attended our monthly meetings. ICAN of Northeast Iowa is a local chapter of the International Cesarean Awareness Network, an international nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth after Cesarean (VBAC).
