I was born in Newfoundland but have lived most of my 64 years in Ontario. I have been with my wife for 42 years, we have two wonderful sons. I'm retired from the Canadian public service where I worked for 35 years. My interests include photography, learning and understanding more about Indigenous issues and learning to play piano. I'm a 2 time cancer survivor, I am spiritual but am not attached to an organized religion. I have low vision caused by macular degeneration (both wet and dry) meaning I have no central vision in my left eye and compromised central vision in my right eye. This means reading printed text is very difficult. Ebooks and audio books are my friend. So why am I cataloging my books? I'm preparing to "weed" out books that realistically I can no longer read. Some I will keep for their pictorial value.
