- Thousands of LGBT titles and exquisite glass art line the walls of the Nancy & Joe McDonald Rainbow Library in the Equality Center. Open 6 days a week during Center hours, Monday through Saturday, 3pm to 9pm the library has titles available for leisure reading, research, discussion groups, and is a resource for local students when writing on LGBT issues. Books are available for check-out for the community.
A mainstay of the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center since the centers opening in 1996, the Nancy & Joe McDonald Rainbow Library was named in their honor in the Spring of 1999. Nancy is Past National President of Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), President of PFLAG Tulsa, has testified before the US Congress on GLBT issues and was the inaugural receipeint of the OkEq Lifetime Achievement Award.
