- Über meine Bibliothek
- Visit the SU DCC in 548 Bird Library to use our book collection. Our books cannot leave our suite, but you're welcome to read them in our living room or in the living rooms for our suite-mates, the LGBT Resource Center and the Office of Multicultural Affairs. More resources can be found in our Disability Culture & History library research guide at https://researchguides.library.syr.edu/DisabilityCulture. The SU Libraries also have a comprehensive collection of pertinent resources both locally (search Summon here: https://library.syr.edu/) or via the ILLiad interlibrary loan service (https://illiad.syr.edu/). Info about accessibility services for the SU Libraries is available at https://library.syr.edu/accessibility/index.php.
- Über mich
- Syracuse University’s Disability Cultural Center provides a space for connection and community while engaging in programming and outreach focusing on disability as diversity.
The Disability Cultural Center (DCC) coordinates campus-wide social, educational, and cultural activities on disability issues for students, faculty, staff, and community members with and without disabilities. The DCC is the first of its kind in the world to be housed within a student affairs organization rather than a disability services office. It is also the first to be run by a full-time professional staff member. The DCC’s purpose aligns with the three other Cultural Centers on campus: the LGBT Resource Center (LGBT RC), the Lillian and Emmanuel Slutzker Center for International Services (SCIS), and the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA). As such, the DCC works in close collaboration with the other SU Cultural Centers to provide programming and services reflecting a deep understanding of the intersectional nature of student identity development. - Ort
