I am an eclectic reader, but my favorite genre is historical fiction. At the time I'm writing this my favorite books (other than my own) are Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy and The Doomsday Book by Connie Willis.

I am the author of two novels, Motherless Soul and White Horse Regressions, both published by All Things That Matter Press. They are past life mysteries where Glen Wiley, a hypnotist, uses events from people's past lives to solve crimes. My short fiction has appeared in Space and Time, The Alaska Quarterly, The Wisconsin Review, Eclipse, Ellipsis and Red Wheelbarrow. I served for five years as an associate editor on the staff of The Crescent Review, a literary magazine I co-founded.

My wife Toni and I live outside of Greensboro, North Carolina. We have two adult children: Nicole and Erik.
