(1), The illustrations in this book are of excellent quality. The order of the book has no rhyme or reason therefore with the name- Numbers on the Loose. As adults many times we tell children how many feet tall an elephant stands or how millimeters long a centipede is. (1), In this book which is the 5th of the series (1), Many times we do not think of the lives of other creatures. In this book the author personifies life of a worm. The worm keeps a diary which includes comical events such as March 29th- Today I tried to teach a spider to dig. (1), According to the author the events in the book actually happened. The character are recreated in a retelling of life in the concentration camps. The end wraps the book up beautifully. (1), This book shares many folk tales. My personal favorite was Juan Camison. It is about a lazy teenager who becomes a knight in shining armor. Eventually he goes back home and returns to his sedentary lifestyle. (1), Cosita Linda is a gracious quick and easy read. The illustrations share a part in telling the story of a gorilla and kitten who become inseperable. A stroy about friendship with humor. (1), A very creative story of a town called Chewandswallow where all the food they need falls from the sky at different times of the day. One day however things took a turn for the worse as odd combnations fell and would not stop. The town had to be evacuated. (1), This author and illustrator team put together a great counting book. It counts up to 10 and then back down with all the humor of their other books. The animals play and farmer is caught off guard. (1), George and Harold continue their mischevious work rearranging signs to make them say the inappropriate. They encounter the Wedgy woman and we get more two page movies thanks to flip-o-rama. (1), This book gives us a brief biography on Fedrico Garcia Lorca. This book is a collection of gentle poems for the young reader. It was printed in Spain with the index in the back.
