Über meine Bibliothek
Someone once told me I would be the same person in five years from now that I am now, except for the books I've read and the people I've stayed close to. This has proved to be one of the truest statements I've ever heard. Mostly, books have changed me. But, then again, I often encounter new books because of the people I hang around.

My library is filled with classics in literature, history, theology, and philosophy. My favorite authors, of whom I own most of their corpora, are Flannery O'Connor, C. S. Lewis, and J. R. R. Tolkien. It will be a sad day when my LiberaryThing library is actually up-to-date. I would be happy to die like Umberto Eco, with more than 30,000 volumes in his personal library.
