Über meine Bibliothek
My library is eclectic as I love to read many different genres. If I am intrigued by the synopsis of a book I will read it. I tend to favor books based on actual events, family oriented, cozy mysteries, and Christian. Mainly I would say stories written with heart and touch me emotionally are my true favorites.
Über mich

“Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.” Frederick Douglass

My father the youngest of 13 read to me from a nursery rhyme book passed down through all of his siblings from the day I was born. When I started kindergarten at the age of 4 I discovered my father actually couldn’t read so I brought home my early readers from school and we learned to read together. I still remember those precious moments reading our first Dick & Jane books together and how we laughed at “see Spot run”. Since then we could always be found with our noses in a book according to our friends. The best remembrance I have with my Dad is our weekly outings to the town library picking out books to read.

My favorite genre is Christian Historical fiction, add in a mystery or two, some clean romance, a little suspense and I am in heaven. If I could travel back in time my dream job would be a packhorse librarian, combining my 3 loves, reading, sharing books, and the beautiful rural outdoors.

“A writer only begins a book. A reader finishes it.” Samuel Johnson

Join me in my quest to encourage others to read and enjoy the stories of the world’s great authors past, present, and future.
