Über meine Bibliothek: I'm turned on by interesting and vivid stories, including autobio's,I like my books to strike an emotional and intellectual cord, however I would prefer the former over the latter any day. Straight intellectual writing leaves me cold; as someone once said: whats the point of touching the mind if you cannot touch the heart also? What indeed...
Fave books include; Angelas Ashes by Frank McCourt; Alias Grace by M.Attwood, Tulip Fever by D. Moggach; Girl with pearl earring by T. Chevalier; Secret River by Kate Granville etc....
I have to admit I am a bit fond of well written historical fiction too.
