Lädt ... National Geographic Readers: Mars (2014. Auflage)von Elizabeth Carney (Autor)Although this book doesn't have chapters per se, it is the same length of an early chapter book. It would be a good read for primary, but better for intermediate readers. This is because the colors on the pages make the words harper to see and there are more word in the book. The book has fun facts and evidence to support the content being shared. I would use this book in my classroom. The book includes a lot of specific information about Mars that students who like space exploration would enjoy. Also, Mars is showing up more often in the news because of SpaceX and the implications of living on Mars. I think it would be cool to have this book so that students could learn more about the history of Mars exploration, as well as why living in Mars would be so difficult. This early reader from National Geographic, published by Scholastic, is a nice introduction for students at young ages who ask, "Do you have any books on Mars?" It explains why the "red planet" is red, and provides both background history and comparisons to earth. It also shows a projected timeline of what occupation of earth might include and the length of time for it to be accomplished. It does seem strange to have factories in the plan to emit greenhouse gases to warm the atmosphere to "unfreeze" the frozen planet! Zeige 6 von 6 |
