Been a long time since I last read them. Wasn't there a particularly nasty meanie named "Junior" something?

Boone Waxwell, I think, was a character in Bright Orange for Her Shroud. Maybe he just sticks out in my mind because it's the first McGee book I read.

junior allen was the meanie who preyed on finely honed women and made them break. oh, he was a meanie, all right, but one who was paticularly nasty besides being sociathic. JDM's meanies are sociopahtic. one realizses that, hopefully. nyway, junior alleng snagged three teenagers, two of them as filthy minded as he, to make a slave girl of the third teenager, just a girl trying to make fiiends. McGee kind of "anchors" junior allen at the end. Boone Waxwell had that deep southern drawl as he tortured and hurt people. For some reason, I think of the actor who played Paladin in "Have Gun, Will Travel" -- Richard Boone -- as playiang his part in a movie.
