I have set a goal of 26 BOMBS to be read in 2012. I don't really buy a lot of new books, BUT I do get lots of books from the library and buy several books from my library's book sale each year.

I am working on weeding out the clutter, so I may read some books and decide to give them away, if I feel that I probably won't re-read them. But if I want to keep a book, no guilt.

I am not putting any sort of parameters on which books from my shelves that I will read. I will just read whatever strikes my fancy at the time. I am also counting re-reads of books that I own for this challenge.

I belong to the 75ers group on LT, also, so I chose to make my goal 26 books for this challenge because it is just a little over one third of my goal for the 75 group. Last year, I read 79 books! Pretty good for me. Out of the 79 books read, 19 were from my shelves. Not bad, but I will do better this year.

Good luck, Sandy, and congratulations on last year's 79 books.

Went to my biography bookshelves this morning and pulled down My Story by Sarah Ferguson. I've had this one for several years--bought it at a library book sale, although it is not a library copy. Someone must've donated it.

I watched Sarah Ferguson's interview with Oprah last year, and also her short series on OWN, and I like her. I like her willingness to own up to her mistakes, and quest for self-improvement.

Thank you for the compliment!

I read My Story a few years ago, thinking it would be a forgettable lightweight book to entertain me while feeling ill, and was surprised at how well-written and insightful it was. I then lent it to a reasonably high-minded friend, who was no fan of Fergie, and she was won over too.

It wasn't fantastic enough to warrant keeping, but I did enjoy and do remember it, and I hope you enjoy it too.
