All I remember about this book is that it was about a group of girls that I believe were in middle school. The copy I used to own had a yellow cover, and I remember one of the girl was sitting on a bed and pulling a purple tshirt out of a box, or something of the sort. I really loved this book when I was younger and am trying to find it again.

Spiffy, some of your title was cut off, so we need a little more info from you. When did you read the book, and was it a new book then? Was the book for middle school-aged readers? Can you remember any details about the plot of the book, such as whether the girls solved a mystery or were in a school play?

In the meantime, the Baby-sitters Club books by Ann Martin had covers that often featured the club's members sitting together in a bedroom. The Fabulous Five series by Betsy Haynes had girls in a group on the covers, too.

The rest of the title just said that it was probably published sometime in the 70s or 80s. Also I know it wasn't part of a series.

Spiffyhannah: I think I remember reading this book, but I also don't recall the title of it. Were there three girls in this group, one of them possibly black, another maybe Indian? Was part of the plot them going to a dance and did one of the girls get kissed by her date (Peter?) after the dance when he told her something along the lines of "oh, look, a shooting star!" Was one of the girl's mom a dentist?

ETA: Is it called Just As Long As We're Together by Judy Blume?

Yes! That is the book. I didn't think it was by Judy Blume and so I didn't even think of looking for it with her as the author. Thank you so much!

You're welcome! I'd actually been wanting to find out the name of this book myself, so I got to help myself in the process of helping you.
