I'm sitting here in the cold, snowy midwest USA dreaming about Blue Mountain Lake in the Adirondacks. I started poking around on the web relative to that and ran into some interesting web sites, some new to me. Most are related to media, including books and magazines. I thought that I'd share them here for whatever they are worth...

Bloated Toe Enterprises sells books and CDs that frequently are related to the Adirondacks.

Books by Marty Podskoch, some related to the Adirondacks.

Adirondack Life, a magazine that whets my appetite for a visit each year. Every year they have a photo contest that is delectable.

Adirondack Council, a citizen environmental group devoted to protecting the area.

View, a visual and performing arts nonprofit on NY 28 in near Old Forge devoted to arts in and of the area.

Adirondack Almanack, an online news journal related to the Adirondack Explorer. (see Adirondack Explorer below)

Adirondack Explorer, a non-profit newsmagazine devoted to the protection and enjoyment of the Adirondack Park. (see Adirondack Almanack above)

North Country Public Radio covers the park, although it also covers a wider area of upper New York state.

The Adirondack Center for the Arts at Blue Mountain Lake.

Adirondack Mountain Club is a nonprofit that sells guide and nature feature books, trail maps and other items/services mostly, but not all, related to roughing it in the park.
