Of course, I don't have any of Koontz's books in my library at the moment, so the shared books look pretty silly.

I'm not a Koontz completist, or anything, but I've read a fair number, and some of them I'm quite passionate about -- particularly Fear Nothing and Seize the Night, One Door Away From Heaven, and Mr. Murder. Who else can write stories about monsters and serial killers that are so gosh darn uplifting?

I was going to start a Dean Koontz group, and now here it is!!

I'm a HUGE fan, really, and I've almost all of his books. I don't have all because the last one isn't out yet, lol.

Most of them are not in my library yet because I've to upload my private collection, so far it's mostly TBR books. I really think he's great, in scaring and awe-us. I'm not a fanatic, so I didn't enjoy some of his works. My favourites, and I'll try to keep the list small, are Lightning, Watchers, Odd Thomas, Life Expectancy, Intensity, Strangers... and I could go on! ;o)

The 1st book I read, the one who got me hooked, was Mr. Murder.

I'm a huge fan myself. I had to create a group for him! I must admit, though, I'm still way behind on his books. I know I have a lot but considering the amount he has I still fall short.

I plan to collect and read all of them. Slowly but surely...

Cool, a Dean Koontz group! I've only just started getting into Dean Koontz starting with Strange Highways which I throughly enjoyed. Looking forward to reading some others of the local library permits. :-P

Hmm, I went back in my post to add another touchstone for Dean Koontz and LT removed the touchstone for Strange Highways... :-(

I recently became a Dean Koontz fan thanks to my friend Fantasma, who's also in this group. She has slowly been lending me all of his books. Up until now I've read Icebound, Watchers, Dark Rivers of the Heart and Life Expectancy, I liked them all except for Icebound which was the weakest. Next in line will probably be Intensity.

I am a big Dean Koontz fan, I have just added lots of the books I've read that I can recall, and I am probably missing a few. I need to read them all again anyway! Woo!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to all the new members!

Dean Koontz is definitely is amazing author.

He was the first to get me into suspense/horror back in high school.

Cold Fire was the first book I read by him!

I am really new to this group, but I am a die hard KOONTZ fan. I have read almost all of his work including some of the Leigh Nichols books. My favorite book is by far Lightning, and then it would be Intensity, and third The Bad Place. I am really glad to see other Koontz's fans out there.

I've only read one book of his but it was really good. It is called The Husband. I recommend it.

i am soooooo glad this troup/group was started. With such a prolific output, and such a talented writer, it is needed. I'm lax to get into the Odd Thomas thingies as I is afeared they equal the "classical attempts" of King's "Dark Tower" series. Probably not, but I'll save them for last. After all, I've only read 14 Koontz books so far and have scores to go! Looking forward to Mr. Murder, which I believe was his first book? Any input on the chronology of his writings?

Koontz has been writing books since 1968. His best books were probably in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and include books such as Watchers, Lightning, Midnight, and Intensity. Some of his better new books include Odd Thomas, Frankenstein and Velocity.
