Not really an ARC since the book is already published, but it came free with an author-signed plate to the bookstore, and I grabbed it because I've seen it mentioned so much on Twitter:

* Before the Fall by Noah Hawley

I've been grabbing children's books from the library for a bookstore event. So I grabbed an ARC at work that I would normally leave for the children's booksellers, too:

* The Secret Keepers by Trenton Lee Stewart (pub date 9/16; young reader fiction)

Have splurged on a couple of used DVDs lately (2 Charlie Chan sets), and that has apparently put me back in the spending way: bought the first Chan novel, The House Without a Key, by Earl Derr Biggers.

ETA: Wow - just checked back over the last two months. Bought one book in July, none in August. I've been very good.

Well, being good just came to an end. I bought a book at the store where my historical fiction book group meets. And at my store, I have two other titles on hold waiting for Friday payday. The one I bought:

* Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor (described as time travel, adventure, comedy, etc., first in a series)

Bought the second books in two series:

* The Masked City by Genevieve Cogman

* A Symphony of Echoes by Jodi Taylor

Received through Bookmooch, Venices the autobiography of French writer Paul Morand. Looks intriguing.

One teen ARC: The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett by Chelsea Sedoti (pub 1/17, teen fiction with a mystery aspect)
