With the Christmas season will come more books, so I decided to motivate myself to read more from my neglected TBR pile by joining this group.

Currently reading:
The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick

From the TBR pile and finished this year:
Uncle Silas: A Tale of Bartram-Haugh by Sheridan Le Fanu (finished 1 January)
Moon over Soho by Ben Aaronovitch (finished 5 January)
The Coral Thief by Rebecca Stott (finished 14 January)
Death Magic by C. S. Quinn (finished 22 January)
The King's Exile by Andrew Swanston (finished 28 January)
The Giant, O'Brien by Hilary Mantel (finished 4 February)
The Regatta Mystery by Agatha Christie (finished 19 March)
Classic Victorian & Edwardian Ghost Stories by Rex Collings (finished 30 March)
Murder in the Mews by Agatha Christie (finished 5 April)
The Ashes of London by Andrew Taylor (finished 9 June)
Dust and Shadow: An Account of the Ripper Killings by Dr. John H. Watson by Lyndsay Faye (finished 18 June)
Whispers Underground by Ben Aaronovitch (finished 8 July)
Sabriel by Garth Nix (finished 10 July)
Lirael by Garth Nix (finished 13 July)
Abhorsen by Garth Nix (finished 17 July)
We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson (finished 21 July)
Hungry Hill by Daphne du Maurier (finished 2 August)
Trigger Warning by Neil Gaiman (finished 6 August)
Marley & Me by John Grogan (finished 16 August)
The Good German by Joseph Kanon (finished 26 August)
Riverkeep by Martin Stewart (finished 1 September)
The Ghost Hunters by Neil Spring (finished 11 September)
Fly by Night by Frances Hardinge (finished 24 September)

Looking at the list I actually haven't done too badly this year.

I'm hoping to squeeze in three before Christmas:
A Symphony of Echoes by Jodi Taylor
Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs
Peter Schlemihl by Adelbert von Chamisso

New member always welcome, whatever the time of year. Anything from that list above that you especially liked/recommend?

I'm always glad to see someone enjoying We have always lived in the castle: it's one of my favourite books.

(Unfortunately, it's the only book I recognise in your list...)
