What authors should we be reading to round out our year? Nominate them below!

I think I put Marisha Pessl last go-around with no takers, but I'll post her again, in case tastes have changed :)

What about Dani Shapiro? She has a new book out I've heard good things about, and I enjoyed a couple of her novels a few years ago.

I also have Louise Erdrich and Evgeny Zamyatin on my TBR.

I'll second Louise Erdrich

LOVE Louise Erdrich so I'll third that suggestion.

I'll also second Evgeny Zamyatin since that would help with my progress on the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die list.

What about his contemporary, Gertrude Stein? I would like to read her too but have never started.

I'd vote for Jane Gardam ... prefer something a little "lighter" during the holiday season. But that's just me.
