John's 2022 BIG FAT BOOKS

I hope to read more than the four i read in 2021.

I was one book short of my goal in 2021 but will set my goal for 15 BFB's again.

Hi Jayne, Kathy, Mary and Connie, setting the group up is not much of a chore and i do enjoy doing it and making people happy. Enjoy another year of Big Books, always nice to see who is reading what.

I'm not setting any goals for reading BFB's, I just sort of let them fall in my lap. I don't shy away from them. In 2021 I read 19 BFB's. Not sure I will read that many this year as I've finished two great series where most of the books were BFB's: Poldark and the Sharon Penman series about the Plantagenets.

I will be beginning my first BFB of 2022 tonight, First Family by David Baldacci, 659 pages, hope this is the first of many this year.

Hey John! Andy here (utbw42)....I'm still around, getting back into it. I thought I would respond here as I recently finished the last book of the Wheel Of Time (A Memory Of Light), which was a whopping 910 pages. I've been trying to finish that epic so I can get on to other smaller reads and try to get my numbers back up. Good to see you're still here....wish me luck!

Hi Andy, nice to see you here and nice to hear from you, i have only been reading the smaller BFB's recently and my numbers have been increasing at quite a pace.

I recently passed into the 600k barrier of pages read and into the 1300's on books read, still have nearly 3,000 books on the TBR pile to go at and STILL buying books, lol.

Your numbers will begin to increase, it's just a matter of the time you have available to do some reading, the weather is picking up and i have a couple of decent jobs to get finished in the garden so my numbers may slow down a bit until September.

Finished my third BFB, King and Maxwell by David Baldacci, PB - 591 pages.

I finished my fourth BFB on Monday, Black Dog by Stephen Booth, PB - 514 pages.

Finished my fifth BFB yesterday evening, A Crowded Marriage by Catherine Alliott, PB - 530 pages.
