Found: Fantasy blue girl;gods in sky

Hello,
I would really appreciate your help in finding a book that I read a few years ago. All that I remember is that there was very rich gold and a deep blue on the cover. It was set in a desert town, where it was believed gods live above. It switched between a few different perspectives, some of the gods, and a male protagonist. I also remember that there was a girl (who I think) was half-god, and her skin turned blue. It was kind of a long and big book. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Parts of your description remind me of The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N. K. Jemisin, though it's been several years since I've read it, and there's a cover that is blue and gold.
